JetBlue offers a first class flying experience. It’s a good option. If you are looking for “first class” seats, you might have trouble finding them. The airline refers to its premium seats as “JetBlue Mint.”

JetBlue Mint has additional tiers that are more luxurious depending on the flight. Mint Suites are available on some flights, giving you your own private suite with sliding doors. The Mint Studio is even larger and can accommodate two people.

What is it like flying in JetBlue’s first class? JetBlue Mint is it worth it? This guide will help you understand JetBlue’s First Class.

JetBlue Mint Seats: What they are like

Mint seats

JetBlue’s first-class seats are 6’8″ long and fully lie flat. Seats have adjustable cushions and massage features.

The seat includes a TV of 15 inches (or larger), which is fully loaded with free movies, shows and live TV, as well as other entertainment such as meditation and digital newspapers.

Mint suits

JetBlue Mint seats are an entire suite on some flights. They include a 17-inch screen that tilts back, wireless charging, a phone shelf, power in the seat, and small item storage.

Mint Studios

JetBlue will give you a better seat in the first row. In the first row of each aircraft with Suites, there will be two “Mint Studios”. Mint Studios offer a larger space than Suites. They have a 22″ tilting screen on the seat back (instead of the 17″ screen), a side table to increase productivity, and an additional guest seat.

JetBlue  What else can you expect?

JetBlue Airlines  offers a number of extra benefits, including more legroom and flat seats. Here are a few highlights:

  • Mint gives you access to an expedited security line and a dedicated queue for check-in. Priority boarding will make you the first person on the plane and off. You’ll also be able to get off the plane faster, as your bags will also benefit from a priority bag claim carousel.
  • Mint customers get a second bag for free (up to 70 pounds). Mint flyers, JetBlue Mosaic card members and those who have a Mint membership are the only ones eligible for two free bags. Blue Plus customers, JetBlue Plus card holders, and other passengers will pay between $50-$60 to check their second bag.
  • Food of the highest quality: Menus may vary depending on flight but you can expect to find items such as chicken caesar, braised lamb, jerk, and red snapper with a sage-cashew crust. As a gift, you will receive a small snack before you depart. In the past, a bag of chocolate-covered cashews was offered as a snack.
  • Mix drinks are available for Mint flyers, including wine and cocktails. Choose the “Mint Condition”, named after the cabin in first class. This cocktail is made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka or Bombay Sapphire Gin, cucumber, mint, lime and ginger. You can even get an alcohol-free option.
  • Tuft & Needle sleeping kit: Onboard, you will receive a sleeping set designed by Tuft & Needle. It includes a blanket that converts into a foot pocket and a memory-foam-lined pillow, a pillowcase with an eye mask, and earplugs.

JetBlue Mint routes

All transatlantic flights, as well as some Caribbean and Latin American routes offer Mint seats. JetBlue’s Mint Route Map can help you find a specific flight to see if Mint is offered.

How to book a JetBlue Mint seat

Mint offers fares for all airlines

Book your flight as normal if JetBlue Mint is available on the route.

Search for your desired route and select the JetBlue fare you prefer.  You can choose to pay in dollars, TrueBlue or TrueBlue points.

Pay for JetBlue fares, even those in Mint Class, with a combination between cash and TrueBlue Points.  You can choose from the same flights but pay with TrueBlue points.

People Can’t book a reservation for more than one person and have someone in Mint while another is in a lower class. You’ll need to make separate reservations for your friends if you want them in Blue Basic but you don’t care if you are in Mint.
